Deleting your account and data

You can delete your dukasimpo account and everything stored in it at any time. There are two ways to do it, and what gets removed depends on whether you own the shop or work in one.

1. Deleting from inside the app

Open Settings, then Delete zone, and choose the option you want. You will be asked to confirm with your PIN, and you need to be online, because the records are removed from our server as well as from your phone.

2. What gets deleted

If you delete only your own account, we remove your name, your phone number and your PIN. The shop's products, sales and stock entries stay, because those belong to the shop rather than to you.

If you own the shop and choose to delete the shop as well, we delete every product, sale and stock entry recorded against it, and then the shop itself. Deleting the shop also deletes every account attached to it, including the accounts of any staff you have added. Tell your staff before you do this, because it cannot be undone.

3. The copy on your phone

dukasimpo keeps a copy of your shop data on your phone so that it keeps working without a signal. When the deletion finishes, the app signs you out and clears that copy. Uninstalling the app removes it as well.

4. If you cannot sign in

If you have lost access to your account and cannot reach the delete zone, message us on WhatsApp and we will delete it for you. Send the phone number the account was created with and the name of the shop, so that we can find the right record: +46 76 411 46 33

5. How long it takes, and what we keep

Deleting from inside the app takes effect immediately, and the records are gone from our database as soon as it finishes. A request sent over WhatsApp is handled by a person, so allow a few working days for it to be done.

We do not keep a copy after a deletion. There is no retention period and no archive: once the records are removed they are gone, and we cannot restore them if you change your mind.
